常见问题
How many days until a specific date?
Enter the target date in the Target date field and the calculator shows the whole days remaining plus a live hours/minutes/seconds breakdown. If you leave the time blank, the countdown runs to midnight at the start of that day, which is the usual convention for 'days until'.
What timezone does the countdown use?
Your device's local timezone. A target of 2026-01-01 at 09:00 means 9am where you are, not UTC. If you share the link with someone in another timezone, they will see the countdown to 9am in their timezone, so add the timezone to the event name if that matters.
Does the countdown handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The countdown measures real elapsed time, so a day is always exactly 24 hours. If a DST change falls between now and your target, the wall-clock time shifts by an hour but the countdown stays accurate to the actual instant you chose.
What happens when the target date passes?
The countdown flips to count up instead. It is labelled 'Already passed' and shows how long ago the date was, which makes it useful as a 'time since' counter for anniversaries and milestones as well as a countdown.
Can I save or share a countdown?
Yes. Press Share to copy a link that contains the date, time and event name. Anyone who opens it sees the same countdown running live, and you can bookmark it so it reopens ready to go.
Does it count leap days?
Yes. A countdown that spans 29 February in a leap year includes that extra day automatically, so a countdown across all of 2028 shows 366 days rather than 365.
